Graphic and senseless but Necessary to be witnessed
While we realize these images are disturbing, we feel they must be shown to help more people become aware of the senseless road mortality of both hatchlings and adults that we are committed to eliminating.
The shoe is in the pictures to provide an idea of the size of the tortoise.
The photos include data of datem time and location. In our opinion, 1 runover hatchling is too many.
Seeing hatchlings dead is horrible but seeing hatchlings that have not died yet and are severely wounded is far worse, and both happen.
